TURBOMECANICA at International Paris Air Show 2025

Between June 16–20, 2025, the TURBOMECANICA delegation traveled to Le Bourget, Paris, to participate in the International Paris Air Show.

The Paris Air Show is organized by SIAE, a subsidiary of the French Aerospace Industries Association (GIFAS). It is the largest event in the industry, bringing together stakeholders from all over the world. The event embodies excellence, innovation, and international cooperation in the aerospace sector.
The Paris Air Show opens the doors to excellence, offering strategic networking opportunities and showcasing the latest innovations in the aeronautical field.
At the 2025 Paris Air Show, which covered an area of 70 hectares, there were 2,400 exhibitors from 48 countries, 305,200 unique visitors, 155 aircraft, and 173 flight demonstrations.

Main Objectives of TURBOMECANICA’s Participation at SIAE 2025

  1. Identifying opportunities to expand the MRO customer and partner portfolio
The goal was to attract new partners from the MRO segment through direct dialogue with potential industry clients, thereby facilitating the development of international business relationships.
  2. Expanding the repair segment
By presenting its existing capabilities and accumulated know-how, TURBOMECANICA aimed to strengthen and expand its repair services, especially in the civil aviation engine sector.
  3. Promoting technical capabilities through the presentation of the metallization facility
The Oerlikon Multicoat™ system provides TURBOMECANICA with significant competitive advantages due to its versatility and high performance in thermal spray technologies. It enables the application of coating layers adaptable to various industrial requirements—from extreme wear and corrosion resistance to the restoration and protection of large parts. TURBOMECANICA can thus meet complex customer needs, helping reduce maintenance costs and increase equipment durability.
  4. Strengthening the TURBOMECANICA brand internationally
Participation in the event enabled the direct promotion of the company’s image and reputation through B2B meetings with top representatives of aeronautical companies present at the fair.
This was achieved through ad-hoc meetings and scheduled agenda discussions.
  5. Gathering relevant technical and commercial information
Throughout the five exhibition days, the TURBOMECANICA team focused on collecting up-to-date data and information regarding trends, technologies, and requirements in the global aerospace industry.
  6. Initiating steps to acquire a CFM56-7B engine (BER or time-expired)
The delegation explored the possibility of acquiring a CFM56-7B engine for training purposes, which would contribute to the technical development of personnel and expand service capabilities for this engine type.

Activities carried out at SIAE Le Bourget, Paris 2025 by the TURBOMECANICA Delegation

TURBOMECANICA held both scheduled and ad-hoc meetings at its own booth and at exhibitors’ stands.
The delegation presented TURBOMECANICA’s capabilities and business interests, aiming to establish new connections to achieve its strategic objectives.

At the TMB booth, several representatives of companies supplying aviation parts and materials, as well as companies specializing in aviation logistics, were received. Their contacts were selected and forwarded to the Procurement Department for inclusion in the potential supplier database.

General Conclusions

Through the participation of the TURBOMECANICA delegation at this event, the company aimed to increase brand recognition, collect market intelligence, and identify collaboration and partnership opportunities.

The objectives set for this exhibition were largely achieved, as follows:

  1. Identifying opportunities to expand the MRO client and partner portfolio:
Achieved through B2B meetings, resulting in a follow-up visit to TURBOMECANICA headquarters by the Jet–Hummel delegation.
  2. Expanding the repair segment:
    Achieved by showcasing repair capabilities.
  3. Promoting technical capabilities through the metallization facility:
Achieved by distributing brochures and presenting the system’s technical characteristics to interested visitors.
  4. Strengthening the TURBOMECANICA brand internationally:
Achieved through both ad-hoc and scheduled meetings with exhibitors.
  5. Gathering relevant technical and commercial information:
Achieved by collecting business cards from potential collaborators, which were later distributed internally to the relevant departments.
  6. Initiating steps to acquire a CFM56-7B engine:
Achieved through contacting multiple lessors and engine owners; however, no concrete outcome was reached, as this type of engine is rare on the market or priced significantly above the company’s budget.

At this year’s SIAE exhibition, a notable presence was that of numerous delegations from U.S. state governments seeking cooperation with European companies interested in expanding operations to the U.S. These delegations offered administrative, banking, and fiscal support to European investors.
Their strong presence is reportedly a result of trade-related tax policies introduced during the Trump administration (with delegations from Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, Texas, Washington, etc.).

Continued Participation of TURBOMECANICA in Similar Events Leads To:

  • Increased international visibility
International events bring together all major players in the aerospace industry: OEMs, MRO companies, armed forces, integrators, and investors.
TURBOMECANICA can promote its manufacturing and maintenance capabilities for both military and civil engines, reaching potential clients and partners it would not otherwise encounter.
  • Access to new markets and partnerships
Participation allows direct engagement with global aircraft manufacturers, as well as armed forces and international governments (as seen with the American state delegations present at this exhibition).
  • Monitoring technological trends
Exhibitions provide an opportunity to analyze technologies and R&D directions in the aerospace and defense sectors.
TURBOMECANICA can assess its position relative to competitors and identify where to invest in innovation.
  • Strengthening its position as a strategic Romanian supplier
Participation in international fairs reaffirms TURBOMECANICA’s role within the Romanian industrial ecosystem.
In front of NATO and EU partners, the company reinforces its status as a player aligned with international standards.

Conclusion

TURBOMECANICA’s participation in international exhibitions is a key strategic move aimed at:

  • expanding its client portfolio,
  • driving technological development, and
  • strengthening its competitive positioning within the global defense and aerospace supply chains.
