MRO Europe LONDON 2022
Between October 17-21, 2022, the TURBOMECANICA delegation traveled to the United Kingdom, London, to participate in the large international event dedicated to the MRO segment, called MRO Europe.
ABOUT MRO Europe MRO Europe is the largest event of its kind in Europe, where airlines, MRO organizations, OEMs, lessors, suppliers, and industry experts gathered to explore and define trends in the international aviation maintenance industry. MRO Europe was an event with over 9,100 participants, more than 450 exhibitors, 930 airlines/lessors, over 45 speakers, and 86 countries represented.
The event itself was a hub for B2B meetings, similar to MRO Beer Istanbul, but on a larger scale. Additionally, MRO Europe provided an opportunity to exchange ideas and best practices, share experiences, discuss issues and challenges, and gather industry-specific knowledge from the ever-evolving aviation sector.
At the same time, the event offered insights into the essential issues and concerns of the industry. MRO Europe created unparalleled networking opportunities, serving as a place where companies forged new relationships, reconnected with business partners, and met solution and service providers.
Activities carried out by the TURBOMECANICA delegation at MRO Europe
The delegation’s activities began with discussions with Aeroplex, who invited us to their booth. We resumed the discussions we started with them in Istanbul during MRO Beer. As a result of the discussion, a potential long-term collaboration with Aeroplex Central Europe is being outlined.
This was followed by a series of B2B meetings between the delegation members and the following companies: Dedienne Aerospace, Rhinestahl, Locatory, Silmid, GE Aviation, CFM International, RAMCO, PPG, Turkish Technics, FL Technics, Tap Air Portugal, Aeroplex Central Europe, and other industry-related companies. Throughout the B2B meetings, as well as during the trade fair, we shared information with potential CLT and suppliers about the development and research project focusing on the special process—ecruising—through dedicated informational materials.
Discussions were held with the following representatives:
- Dedienne Aerospace – Guillaume Fontagne (replacing Remi Laggrifoul)
- Rhinestahl – Marin Rosich, former GE employee with 15 years of experience
- Locatory – Austeja Andriuskaite and Egle Joksyte-Ceskeviciene
- Silmid – Olivia Martin Johnson
- CFM International – Monika Mars
- RAMCO – Throsten Glueckselig and Manoj K. Singh
- OCO Invest in Georgia – Marta Merlewska
- Aeroplex Central Europe – Arpad Demeny
- APFiltration – Richard Fisher
- TAP Air Portugal – Miguel Casimiro
- FL Technics – Vaidas Jankauskas
Through our participation in the MRO Europe exhibition, we were able to make close contact with companies already present in the international MRO market for CFM 56-7B components/engines and with potential future partners/suppliers of equipment for the new CFM56-7B repair factory. Additionally, we continued our campaign to promote the factory and the existing and future capabilities of Turbomecanica.
The name TURBOMECANICA is becoming well-known among representatives of industry-related companies, who contacted us to explore potential collaboration opportunities.
