TURBOMECANICA at AIRTEC 2018

In November 2018, the city of Munich – Germany hosted the 13th edition of the International Aerospace Suppliers Fair – AIRTEC 2018, the TURBOMECANICA team taking part in this exhibition with its own presentation stand.

TURBOMECANICA representatives participated in a series of B2B meetings with potential customers and suppliers, that took place both in our company stand and in the stands of the exhibitors we intend to collaborate with.

During these meetings the capabilities of the company were presented, with an emphasis on the existing available capacities in the mechanical processing and special processes sectors, having in view the strategic objective of loading with orders the production capacities dedicated to industrial programs / manufacturing of gas turbine components, but not limited to these, also focusing on the manufacture of aviation components.

The existing opportunities were analyzed  with a view to identify potential possible cooperation segments / directions.

The B2B meetings provide to exhibitors and visitors opportunities to know each other’s technical capabilities and to discuss potential cooperation.

During the three days event, we would like to mention  as significant the pre-established meetings with the “BUYER” representatives of Kawasaki Heavy Industries – Japan (Mr. Hiroyuki Ishii) and Thales Alenia Space Italy (Procurement Engineer, respectively), but also with the SUPPLIER representatives such as: DAVI – Promau Italia, GWD Technologiezentrum Germany, PRP Italy, PolyMIM Germany, LATECOERE Interconnection Systems Hamburg, Marletti Italia, TurboCast India, Takumi Precision Engineering Ireland and others.

These meetings ended with specific cooperation proposals: Thales Alenia Space Italy confirmed the interest in TMB capabilities which are going to be analyzed with the management in order to submit requests for offers for the mechanical processing area.

To the representative of Kawasaki Heavy Industries  existing concrete cooperation opportunities were presented in detail, both for the gas turbine components manufacturing area, for which there are currently available capacities, as well as for parts from the aerospace sector; the discussion points / analysis subject of the TURBOMECANICA Management Team visit to Japan from February 2018, including meetings with representatives of the Kawasaki Heavy Industries-Gas Turbine Division, were also reiterated.

Previous TMB / KHI ccooperation from 2016-2017 was also reviewed. based on Customer Certification for Quality Assurance System issued by KHI for TURBOMECANICA.

Based on our discussions, we believe that currently there are clear premises for initiating cooperation programs; In this context, TMB will soon detail the information subject of our partner’s interest.

From a supplier point of view, our company plans to develop business relationships with GWD Technologiezentrum GmbH for the purchase of special tools, HABA Solutions for aluminum alloy materials, American Aviation – Germany for assembling parts, Newgatesimms – United Kingdom for lubricants, SIJ Metal Ravne – Slovenia for low-alloy steels, HEULE Precision Tools – Switzerland for precision tools.

We appreciate participation in this event as a new opportunity to reaffirm the presence and position of TMB on the international market, but also to address possible cooperation segments that correspond to the capabilities currently available in our company.
